T-Cypher was founded as a deep tech company with the mission of tackling one of the greatest unsolved problems in human biology:
What are the specificities of the T cell populations that drive immune system failure in disease?
The implication of solving this problem would provide a new lens to see and understand the origins of immune-mediated disease in humans. It would be transformative for drug development and lead to the design of next generation therapeutics.
To succeed in this mission, T-Cypher scientists designed, built and populated a unique data architecture that incorporates massive, diverse datasets relating to T cell immunology and cellular communication. This platform combines proprietary computational and wet-lab systems and today hosts data of the scale and quality required to understand T cell surveillance. We call the platform T-CAlpha.
T-Cα effectively maps both sides of the T cell immune synapse. It maps the signature peptides our body uses in the communication of health and disease, and in parallel maps the reactivity of T cell repertoires. It does this at the scale, diversity and sensitivity of the human immune system.
Today, T-Cα is a fully integrated discovery platform and machine learning engine profiling the human disease target space and its associated T cell reactivity. We use it to discover and develop next generation therapeutics for immune-mediated diseases.
